The Wenger Group Inc. is pleased to welcome Leon Heisey as feed manufacturing services director.

Heisey joins the company following a 23-year career at The Hershey Company, where he held various engineering roles including process engineer, technical services manager for Y&S Candies from 2005 to 2008, staff engineer, and technical services manager for the US CI group.

A resident of Middletown, Heisey earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in agricultural engineering from the college of engineering from Penn State University. Upon completion of his degree, Heisey went to work for Perdue Farms Inc. as a corporate project engineer. 

“Leon will be working closely with me and will provide direct oversight and mentorship to our areas of engineering, automation and innovation, quality assurance, environmental health and safety, and training,” said Brad Wagner, senior vice president & chief operating officer of manufacturing for The Wenger Group. “I am confident that Leon will be a valuable addition to our organization and continue to drive process and automation improvements in our manufacturing operations.”
