Robert ‘Rob’ Stuart passes at 72

Dr. Robert “Rob” L. Stuart, 72, passed away Aug. 15 with loved ones by his side. There was a family graveside service Aug. 20 in Louisiana.

Sr. Stuart photo.jpgStuart was born Nov. 13, 1947, in Bunkie, La. He grew up in St. Landry Parish on his family’s dairy and beef farm, where he developed a passion for animal health.

He obtained his bachelor degree in animal science from Louisiana Tech University, Ruston; his master of science in ruminant nutrition from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, and his Ph.D. in ruminant nutrition from the University of Kentucky, Lexington.

In the 1980s, he served as a senior nutritionist for a large pharmaceutical company, where he created a major technical manual.

In 1989, Stuart founded Stuart Products Inc. with the purpose of developing and marketing animal nutritional supplements based on sound scientific research. He saw a need in the market and developed quality fat-soluble vitamin products.

Stuart created many pioneering products that included injectable, liquid, powder and paste products that are currently marketed for various animal applications in beef and dairy cows, swine, poultry, equine and exotic animals.

Stuart Products Inc. will continue on with family members who have worked with the company since the beginning. They will continue Stuart’s legacy by providing quality vitamin products for the animal health industry.
