Total frozen chicken and turkey supplies on Sept. 30, 2018, were at 1.53 billion lb., down slightly from the previous month but up 10% from a year ago, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s latest “Cold Storage” report. Total stocks of chicken were up 4% from the previous month and up 17% from last year. Total pounds of turkey in freezers were down 7% from last month and down 1% from Sept. 30, 2017. However, tom stocks are larger than last year, up 10% in August
