PigTek has introduced its SWING-FIX Gestation Stalls as a solution to help pig producers take sow management to a higher level while meeting new animal space requirements, including compliance with Proposition 12. Available as a retrofit to back gates on existing conventional stalls or as new installation, the SWING-FIX Door features a proven design based on PigTek's many years of European pig production experience.

Free access mode on the SWING-FIX Stall allows sows to exercise and stay in good condition by freely walking in and out of individual stalls. When a sow enters a stall to eat, the door automatically closes behind it for privacy. The sow can release itself by simply backing up to a latch that opens the door.

Additionally, producers can temporarily lock sows into the stalls to aid breeding and pregnancy scanning. A convenient lever allows individual stalls or whole rows to be locked or released at once. A total of four operating positions offers various sow containment options.

SWING-FIX Gestation Stalls are available with standard or artificial insemination doors. The stalls have few moving parts to help reduce maintenance, and they provide a quiet operating environment to minimize animal stress.
