ANPARIO, Spartanburg, S.C. — Jeff Little has joined the company as national account manager. Little will help develop customized programs for poultry customers and enhance performance of the products in farming operations. He was previously with Merial.

Dr. Dan Rosener has joined the company as technical services director for the USA. Rosener will provide technical support to the U.S. sales team and its customers and will spearhead the development of business in the U.S. swine and veterinary segments. He was previously with Pharmgate Animal Health.

OBITUARYTim Breen, president and chief executive officer of Motion Industries Inc., Birmingham, Ala., has passed away. Breen began his career with Berry Bearing Co. in 1982 and served as a sales representative, branch manager, regional manager and corporate accounts manager. After Berry Bearing and Motion Industries joined forces in 1993, Breen served as both a division officer and group officer, and he assumed responsibility of all the U.S. locations in 2011 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. Breen was promoted to Motion Industries president and COO in 2013 before his promotion to president and CEO in November 2014.

 

AGSPRING, Leawood, Kan. — Bruce Chapin has joined the company as chief financial officer. Chapin will be responsible for all financial management, accounting and reporting for the corporation and its subsidiaries. He was previously with Louis Dreyfus.

 

AMLAN INTERNATIONAL, Chicago, Ill. — Flemming L. Mahs has been appointed president.

 

APC INC., Ankeny, Iowa — Michael Gomes has joined the LIFELINE products team as regional sales manager for calf products. Gomes will focus on providing value-added solutions to calf ranches and dairies in the southern part of California's Central Valley.

Dr. Yanbin Shen has joined the Asia Pacific region team as swine technical consultant. Shen will provide technical services to customers in China. He was previously with Cargill.

Ramesh Subramonian has joined the company as director of sales—Asia Pacific. Subramonian will manage the Asia Pacific distributor network, plus sales and technical resources for the region.

 

BIORESOURCE INTERNATIONAL INC., Research Triangle Park, N.C. — Dr. Nasser Odetallah has joined the company as vice president of sales. Odetallah will oversee the portfolio of feed additive solutions with a special emphasis on new products and will manage the worldwide sales network. He was previously with Novus International.

 

BIOZYME INC., St. Joseph, Mo. — Dennis Delaney has been named director of quality assurance. Delaney will work with the plant to make sure standard operating procedures are followed while making the products. He was most recently in customer support.

Shandy Bertolino has been named area sales manager representing Illinois and Indiana.

Dave Gallagher has been named area sales manager representing Missouri and Tennessee.

Lindsey Grimes-Hall has been named nutrition and field sales manager. Grimes-Hall will provide nutrition and technical sales support to area sales managers and other staff through training, producer meetings and representing the brands at conferences. She will also help the Nutrition Team with ration balancing and interpreting feed testing results, in addition to writing educational articles. She was most recently area sales manager in Ohio, Indiana and West Virginia.

Ailee Langdon has been named product specialist and customer support coordinator. Langdon will handle order entry and product questions. She was most recently event and training coordinator.

 

CANTRELL, Gainesville, Ga. — Jay Bradly has joined the engineering department as draftsman. Bradly will provide support for engineers and create CADD drawings for building company equipment.

Scott Russell has been named director of international sales. Russell will be responsible for growing the international business for capital sales, projects, service sales, parts and service agreements, with a primary focus on Latin America and Canada.

 

DIAMOND V, Cedar Rapids, Iowa — Ilya Frumkin has joined the company as director of companion animal business development. Frumkin will lead the development and execution of companion animal business strategy in North America. He was previously with Three Dog Bakery and Abaxis Inc.

Janet Krenn has joined the company as technical marketing manager. Krenn will be responsible for technical marketing aspects of the ruminant business, focusing on product information, research, technical collateral and regulatory coordination of marketing efforts. She was previously with Infinity Inc.

Dr. Jana Powell has joined the company as Southeast ruminant field technical specialist. Powell will provide field support and technical assistance for dairy producers, nutritionists, veterinarians and feed production professionals in the southeastern U.S. She was previously with Shamrock Animal Health Services.

Dr. Alvaro Ramirez has joined the company as technical support and sales. Ramirez will provide technical poultry and swine assistance and sales support for the Mexico team. He was previously with Suma International.

Dr. Sergio Rueda has joined the company as technical support and sales. Rueda will provide technical poultry and swine assistance and sales support for the Mexico team. He was previously with Grupo Nutec.

Chris Van Anne has been named director of knowledge transfer. Van Anne will support the global sales and marketing teams through international sales training and extension of the Life Stage Solutions programs worldwide and will lead the development of the new Diamond V Learning Center. He most recently was managing director based in the Netherlands.

 

FAMILY DAIRIES USA, Madison, Wis. — Deanna Malin has joined the company as field representative. Malin will serve dairy farmers in northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She was previously with the National Farmers Organization.

 

FAST GENETICS INC., Saskatoon, Sask. — Sarah Heppner has been named marketing associate. Heppner will be responsible for managing advertising and branding, organizing conference and trade show appearances, public relations and corporate communications.

 

GLOBALVETLINK, Ames, Iowa — Steve Adamson has been appointed chief technology officer. Adamson will focus on fostering an environment of innovation while leading the software development, systems administration and information technology teams. He was previously with FunnelWise and Textura/Submittal Exchange.

 

IMMUCELL CORP., Portland, Maine — Chris Bradley has joined the company as sales and marketing manager for the western U.S. Bradley will work with dairy producers in Idaho, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska to improve calf health through targeted antibody therapy

A. Gustavo Scaffa has joined the company as senior director of quality for the Food & Drug Administration-related operations. Scaffa will be responsible for establishing robust quality systems for the company's nisin-based treatment for subclinical mastitis in lactating dairy cows. He was previously with Zoetis Inc.

 

INDIGO AG INC., Boston, Mass. — Brian Birtwistle has joined the company as chief product officer. Birtwistle will establish the long-term vision for digital and software products, focusing on continuous improvement and expansion of digital technologies for growers. He was previously with Tilt.

 

IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY, Ames, Iowa — Dan Grooms has been appointed the Stephen G. Juelsgaard dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine, effective Oct. 1. Grooms is currently with Michigan State University.

Kristin Olsen has been named extension program specialist at the Iowa Pork Industry Center. Olsen will coordinate the annual Iowa Swine Day event, work on a variety of informational materials and collaborate on specific research projects to help pork producers.

 

LALLEMAND ANIMAL NUTRITION, Blagnac, France — François Cellier has been appointed aquaculture technical support manager based in France. Cellier will provide technical and marketing support on tropical aquaculture globally.

Khuong Duy Nguyen has been appointed aquaculture technical support manager based in Vietnam. Nguyen will oversee shrimp research and development trials and contribute to developing the aquaculture business in Vietnam.

 

MAPLE LEAF FOODS, Mississauga, Ont. — Curtis Frank has been named chief operating officer, effective Oct. 1. Frank will have executive responsibility for the prepared meats, fresh pork and poultry operations. He was most recently senior vice president, retail.

 

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE DEPARTMENTS OF AGRICULTURE FOUNDATION, Arlington, Va. — Perry Harlow has joined the foundation as coordinator, programs and grants. Harlow will execute program and funding priorities under the strategic plan.

 

NATIONAL BIODIESEL BOARD, Jefferson City, Mo. — Samantha Turner has joined the board as communications manager. Turner be responsible for development of communication strategies for the team and supporting the industry through content enhancing the biodiesel narrative. She was previously with Monsanto.

 

NATIONAL TURKEY FEDERATION, Washington, D.C. — Beth Breeding has joined the federation as vice president of communications and marketing. Breeding will work to advance the priorities of the membership by educating the public on the industry, encouraging Americans to serve turkey and serving as a liaison to the news media. She previously was on the staff of Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R., Va.).

Leslee Oden has been promoted to vice president of legislative affairs. Oden will be responsible for guiding legislative efforts on Capitol Hill and coordinating grassroots outreach. She was most recently legislative director.

Lisa Wallenda Picard has been promoted to senior vice president of policy, trade and regulatory affairs. Picard will serve as the primary resource and advocate for members on all regulatory matters and will coordinate policy issues affecting the turkey industry. She was most recently vice president of scientific and regulatory affairs.

 

NEWPORT LABORATORIES INC., Worthington, Minn. — Dr. Jason Shumaker has joined the company as bovine technical services veterinarian. Shumaker will support the sales and customer service teams by providing technical support to diagnostic and autogenous vaccine customers.

 

NORTH AMERICAN MEAT INSTITUTE, Washington, D.C. — Julie Anna Potts has been named president and chief executive officer, effective Sept. 24. Potts was previously with the American Farm Bureau Federation.

 

OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY, Corvallis, Ore. — Alan R. Sams has been named the Reub Long dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences, effective Oct. 31. Sams also will serve as director of the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station. He was previously with Texas A&M University.

 

OSBORNE INDUSTRIES INC., Osborne, Kan. — Cory Culbertson has been named North America sales representative for livestock equipment. Culbertson will assist in the distribution of swine management equipment in the Midwest U.S.

 

PAS REFORM, Zeddam, Netherlands — Slobodan Bob Dimitrijevic has joined the company as service and support manager at the new service center facility in Forli, Italy. Dimitrijevic will provide technical backup for customers across Italy, giving access to local support, maintenance and a full range of spare parts for rapid delivery.

 

PAULSEN, Sioux Falls, S.D. — Katie Hayward has been promoted to associate creative director. Hayward will be responsible for content strategy and creative direction, in addition to creative development for some national and regional accounts.

 

PRAIRIE SWINE CENTRE INC., Saskatoon, Sask. — Dr. Murray Pettitt has been appointed chief executive officer. Pettitt was previously with the University of Saskatchewan.

 

TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY, Lubbock, Texas — Dale R. Woerner has been named the Cargill Endowed Professorship in meat science sustainability in the College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. Woerner was previously with Colorado State University.

 

TONISITY, St. Joseph, Mo. — Brad Carson has joined the customer success leadership team as manager. Carson will focus on customer relationships in Minnesota and surrounding states. He was previously with Nedap Livestock Management USA.

Kyle Montgomery has joined the company as director of customer success. Montgomery will execute the customer success, business alliance and growth strategies. He was previously with Vets Plus.

 

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, Washington, D.C. — Jennifer Porter has been appointed deputy administrator of the Agricultural Marketing Service's Livestock & Poultry (L&P) Program. Porter was most recently director of the Quality Assessment Division of the L&P Program.

 

U.S. ROUNDTABLE FOR SUSTAINABLE POULTRY & EGGS and INTERNATIONAL POULTRY WELFARE ALLIANCE, Tucker, Ga. — Ryan Bennett has been selected as executive director of both organizations, effective Sept. 4. Bennett will build membership through recruitment within the shared value chain constituency groups for both organizations, including production and processing, retail and foodservice, allied industry and research and civil society. He was previously with the National Milk Producers Federation.

 

VITA PLUS CORP., Madison, Wis. — Dietric De Jager has been named Cornette Farm Supply dairy specialist. De Jager will provide nutrition consulting and offer customized solutions to producers in northeastern Wisconsin. He will also work with the dairy team in that area to offer technical expertise.

 

WORLD DAIRY EXPO, Madison, Wis. — Becky Bachman has joined the staff as trade show coordinator. Bachman will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of sponsorship and trade show management, from corresponding with past, present and prospective exhibitors to floor plan design and sponsor deliverables. She was previously with Sonic Foundry.

 

ZINPRO CORP., Eden Prairie, Minn. — Chanda Engel has joined the company as a research assistant. Engel will support the Research & Nutritional Services team and its ruminant nutrition research and communication efforts. She was previously with South Dakota State University.
