All cows need support during dry-off and freshening, but high producers aren’t your average herd mates. More likely to experience udder engorgement and milk leakage over the dry period, high-performing cows need extra support during transition to ensure a successful lactation. New research has shown the addition of an oral acidogenic mineral bolus can provide extra support to cows at dry-off, lowering the impacts of udder engorgement, milk leakage and the risk of clinical mastitis in the next lactation.
