Edge Dairy Farmer Cooperative has added a new staff position to support its government affairs and permitting and regulatory departments with advocacy and outreach efforts. Erin Tomasik has joined the team as the community relations manager. Among her responsibilities, she will engage, connect, and collaborate with legislators and stakeholders on behalf of the association and its affiliates.

Tomasik has firsthand experience with agriculture advocacy efforts across the state, having worked as the member advocacy and issues coordinator for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation for the past three years.

“I’m extremely happy to join the Edge team,” Tomasik said. “I’m excited to be able to utilize my expertise to support dairy farmers and contribute to the growth and success of the dairy community.”

Tomasik will work from Edge’s office in Madison, Wis.

Edge’s CEO Tim Trotter said Tomasik will enhance the cooperative's work as the voice of milk for the dairy community and work closely with member farmers.

“At Edge, we work to serve our members and advocate for them effectively,” Trotter said. “We’re thrilled to welcome Erin in this new role, amplifying the work we continue to do on behalf of our members.”
