Attendees at the 2025 International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) will have access to the latest in protein and feed technology through exhibits and educational programming, according to a news release.
TECHTalks are free, 20-minute technical presentations that will be offered each day at IPPE. For the 2025 expo, 90 presentations will be given in the TECHTalks theaters in the A-Hall at Booth A244, in the B-Hall at Booth B51033 and the C-Hall at Booth C15179.
The presentations will address many topics, including food safety, artificial intelligence, animal welfare, sustainability and feed production, among others. Each presentation will be led by an IPPE exhibitor who will share expertise and experience on the session topic. Attendees can stop by the complimentary TECHTalks education presentations from 10:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28; from 9:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, and from 9:30 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The TECHTalks presentation schedule can be viewed here and through the IPPE mobile app under the “Education” search. The app will have the latest information, education programs and activities planned.
The 2025 IPPE is also offering a wide range of services to international attendees.
With 29% of attendees hailing from outside the U.S., IPPE is partnering with the U.S. Department of Commerce as part of the International Buyer Program. This program attracts thousands of qualified international buyers, sales representatives and business partners to U.S. trade shows each year, according to the news release. The Commerce Department's Commercial Service will be on hand at IPPE to assist attendees in advancing their international trade initiatives.
IPPE will feature buyer matching, conference rooms, translation services, import/export counseling and access to export directories in the International Trade Center, located in the A/B Connector. In addition, the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association (USPOULTRY) is offering its education program La Cumbre Avícola Latinoamericana (Latin American Poultry Summit) that will address improvements in the areas of grain management, food safety, genetics, biosecurity and bird health. The program will primarily be conducted in Spanish, with translation services provided in English and Portuguese.
IPPE is a collaboration of three trade shows – International Feed Expo, International Poultry Expo and International Meat Expo – representing the entire chain of protein production and processing. The 2025 IPPE, sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), Meat Institute and USPOULTRY, will have more than 595,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space and 1,355-plus exhibitors.
Feedstuffs Editor Sarah Muirhead recently caught up with Sarah Novak, chief operating officer of AFIA, to hear about what to expect at IPPE this year. She said the event provides myriad networking and educational opportunities and ways for attendees to connect with vendors, suppliers and partners.
Novak said some new things to expect at IPPE in 2025 include a welcome happy hour on Tuesday of the show; a new community lounge in the B-Hall where exhibitors to “take a breath and refresh,” catch up on emails or even play games like cornhole, and the organization CAREing Paws will be on the A-Hall show floor with some of the dogs they style to resemble different animals – “pets to help lower anxiety.”
According to Novak, here are a few additional not-to-miss sessions:
The Pet Food Conference will include graduate student research, the latest trends, IFEEDER’s annual pet food consumption report, American Association of Feed Control Officials updates, and other highlights.
U.S. Department of Agriculture Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service staff will be on hand to help answer questions on product import/export.
The Feed Education Program will feature what’s to come for the feed industry under the new Administration, a talk on artificial intelligence in the feed industry and a session covering some of the big issues facing the feed industry.
The sustainability program will highlight a new set of tools available for companies that want to create a life-cycle analysis.
