Wheat leads crop markets lower: Podcast

Corn and soybean futures go lower as harvest nears.

Wheat markets were lower to add to last week’s 10-year lows, as there appears to be no relief from the large global supply of the grain. Last week, Black Sea countries as well as Canada raised estimates for the size of this year’s crops.

Corn and soybeans were lower, but soybeans were getting support from a new export sale to unknown destinations.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture said the sale was for 4.4 million bu. of new-crop soybeans.
