USTR says COOL impact overstated

THE U.S. Trade Representative told the World Trade Organization that Canada and Mexico have overstated their losses related to the U.S. mandatory country-of-origin labeling (COOL) law by billions of dollars.

Canada has requested sanctions as high as $2.4 billion (in U.S. dollars), and Mexico has asked for $713 million.
