USDA updates vaccine labeling, packaging requirements

APHIS amending veterinary biologics labeling and packaging regulations to make requirements more consistent with current science and practice.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) announced that it is amending its regulations for veterinary biologics labeling and packaging to make the requirements more consistent with current science and veterinary practice.

APHIS said these changes are necessary to update and clarify labeling requirements and to ensure that the required labeling is accurate with regard to the expected performance of the product.
