USDA seeks public comments on GMO labeling regulations

First of several opportunities for public comment on finalizing regulations and procedures for new food labeling law.

In late July, President Obama signed into law Congress’s genetically engineered labeling law, creating a mandatory disclosure requirement for bioengineered foods and directing the U.S. Department of Agriculture to develop regulations and standards to carry out the requirement.
