USDA reports boost outlook for corn

Ag economist says USDA report "slightly supportive" for corn and "slightly negative" for soybeans.

ON Jan. 12, the U.S. Department of Agriculture released the highly anticipated final estimates of the size of the 2014 U.S. corn and soybean crops as well as the stocks of corn and soybeans in storage as of Dec. 1, 2014.

USDA also released its "World Agricultural Supply & Demand Estimates" report showing new forecasts for the 2014-15 marketing year.

University of Illinois agricultural economist Darrel Good said the Dec.
