USDA launches study of ranched-bison industry

THIS summer, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Animal Health Monitoring System (NAHMS) will launch the first-ever national study of the U.S. ranched-bison industry.

The NAHMS "Bison 2014" study seeks to increase the knowledge and understanding of the characteristics, health and management practices and challenges of bison operations in the U.S., the announcement said.
