USDA invests $27.6m in animal production research

THE U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Institute of Food & Agriculture (NIFA) announced more than $27.6 million in funding for research, education and extension projects that will improve animal production and health.

NIFA made the awards through its Agriculture & Food Research Initiative (AFRI). The awards were made mostly through the AFRI Foundational program, as well as an interagency program with the National Institute of Health.
