THE U.S. Department of Agriculture announced another round of funding for renewable energy generation and energy conservation projects through the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP).
A total of $63 million in funding includes $3.6 million as grants and $59.3 million as loan guarantees. REAP projects are expected to generate and/or save 207.8 million kWh of energy — enough to power more than 13,600 homes for a year.
