U.S. regains corn market share in Egypt

FOLLOWING record U.S. corn production in 2013 of 355.3 million metric tons (13.9 billion bu.), the U.S. Grains Council reported that U.S. corn sales to Egypt rebounded to more than 3 mmt from January to November 2014, making the U.S. the largest supplier of corn to the Egyptian market this year.

In comparison, corn sales to Egypt were almost nonexistent during the 2013 calendar year.
