GROWTH in chicken and prepared foods sale volumes lifted fourth-quarter earnings to new heights for Tyson Foods Inc.
Despite the dip in sales for both beef and pork, the nation's largest meat processor reported quarterly profits that exceeded analysts' predictions, with prepared food revenue rising 38% as a result of Tyson's recent acquisition of Hillshire Brands.
