Survey shows importance of supporting youth in ag industry

Animal food industry gave back more than $11 million to communities in 2015.

Results from the recently conducted American Feed Industry Assn. (AFIA) sustainability survey indicate that enhancing youth programs with an agriculture-based focus has great importance to U.S. feed companies. The annual, informal "Community Involvement & Charitable Giving Survey" also revealed total volunteer hours of those surveyed within the industry and funds donated to charitable organizations.
