Soybeans higher after export sales, rain storms: Podcast

Corn is down a few cents, and wheat is steady.

Soybean futures were higher near midday on Thursday after the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported three export sales, two of which were to China. Also being watched were rain storms moving through Iowa and Minnesota. The storms produced heavy rainfall overnight in those areas, and more rain is in the forecast today and tomorrow.

Corn futures were a few cents lower near midday and winter wheat markets are about unchanged.
