Soybeans climbed to a six-week high near midday Wednesday following gains in overseas vegetable oil markets and a sharp drop in the U.S. dollar. Export news was light on Wednesday, but the market continues to be supported by recent sales to China and an active export shipping program.
Rain on Wednesday and Thursday was expected to delay harvest for a few days. Also, the latest forecasts put rain in the Midwest next week.
