PLANS to address the threat of a renewed avian flu outbreak should be tailored to ensure the continued viability of the U.S. poultry industry, according to 10 senators who penned a letter of concern to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack and commented in particular on indemnity payments and expanded financial flexibility in devastating cases.
