Senate tackles EPA water rule

Senate vote limits how EPA can establish determinations for water rule.

A SENATE Agriculture Committee hearing held last week focused on how the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed "waters of the U.S." rule will affect stakeholders.

The hearing featured two panels of witnesses comprised of state and local officials who would be responsible for administering and enforcing changes proposed to the Clean Water Act (CWA) as well as key agriculture industry representatives affected by the regulation.
