SEC fines Monsanto $80m for accounting violations

Agreement resolves investigation into Roundup-related customer incentive programs.

Monsanto said this week that it has reached an agreement with the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) fully resolving a previously disclosed SEC investigation into the financial reporting of its customer incentive programs related to Roundup products in fiscal years 2009, 2010 and 2011.
