Report highlights measures to improve port performance

GAO report defines efforts to improve flow of transportation and prevent future disruptions.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has released a report on West Coast ports and efforts to improve the flow of transportation. The report titled, "West Coast Ports: Better Supply Chain Information Could Improve DOT’s Freight Efforts" was requested by Sen. Deb Fischer (R., Neb.) after the major West Coast port disruptions in 2014-15.
