Red meat lower in latest cold storage report

Poultry supplies higher than last month and last year.

Beef, pork, and poultry supplies in cold storage on June 30, 2016, totaled 2.412 billion pounds (lbs.), up from 2.318 billion lbs. the month prior.

Total frozen poultry supplies on June 30, 2016 increased 5% from the previous month and 11% from last year, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s July “Cold Storage” report.
