Rancho co-owner to stand trial alone

RANCHO Feeding Corp. co-owner Jesse J. Amaral Jr. will stand trial alone next July for alleged conspiracy to distribute adulterated, misbranded and uninspected meat.

Originally, Amaral, along with Felix Sandoval Cabrera, Robert Singleton and Eugene D. Corda, were charged with 11 felony counts. Cabrera and Corda entered guilty pleas last summer, and the workers have now reached a plea agreement with the government.
