Pioneer enters partnership with CIMMYT

Public/private partnership with International Maize & Wheat Improvement Center will help provide climate and disease resilient varieties.

DuPont Pioneer and the International Maize & Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) have entered into a master alliance agreement to jointly develop improved crops using CRISPR-Cas advanced plant breeding technology for characteristics that address the needs of smallholder farmers around the world. The collaboration announcement coincides with CIMMYT’s 50th anniversary celebrations being held in El Batán, Mexico.
