Patrick Cudahy marks 125 years

PATRICK Cudahy, an iconic pork brand in Wisconsin and other parts of the Midwest, is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year with a multifaceted advertising, promotional, public relations and social media campaign to celebrate the company and Wisconsin, according to an announcement.

The campaign — "Say Hey to Wisconsin, Say Hey to Patrick Cudahy" — will highlight 125 special things about the Cudahy, Wis.-based company and Wisconsin and will include events such as "Bacon Lover's Day" at the Wisconsin State Fair, the "Patrick Cudahy Race for Bacon" run/walk and a mobile tour with samples, coupons and recipes that will make stops throughout Wisconsin in July and August.

The company — which is part of the John Morrell Food Group, a business of Smithfield Foods Inc. — produces fully cooked and traditional bacon, bacon pieces and toppings, pepperoni, dry sausage, ham and deli and sliced meats.
