A GROUP of former U.S. agriculture secretaries issued an open letter urging Congress to pass the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), noting that opening new markets for exports is critical for farmers and rural communities.

Those who signed the bipartisan letter have been personally invested in the negotiations of every major U.S. trade agreement over the past 40 years.
