Obama signs bill renewing trade promotion authority.

PRESIDENT Barack Obama signed trade promotion authority (TPA) into law on June 29, ushering in what many expect to be the final stages of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal.

The bill gives the U.S. Trade Representative the ability to negotiate the best deal possible, and it provides Congress with the oversight it needs to ensure that every trade agreement will work for American farmers.
