NUTRAFERMA announced that it has entered a distribution agreement with Carval Co. through which livestock producers in Colombia, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic and Mexico will be able to access Nutraferma's feed ingredients and biotech products.
Nutraferma utilizes solid-state fermentation technology to produce a functional soy protein ingredient with a high protein content and reduced anti-nutritional factors.
"We are very excited about the opportunity to work with Carval," Nutraferma president Eric Lohry said. "This new venture will allow producers in the swine, poultry and aquaculture markets of Latin America to utilize our technology to optimize productivity in their livestock."
Carval distributes an extensive line of animal health products to manufacturers in 15 different markets. It will begin distributing Nutraferma's products immediately.
Nutraferma, based in South Dakota, has manufacturing and research facilities in South Dakota and Korea.
