Purina Animal Nutrition research shows every pound gained at weaning supports nearly 4 lb. at finishing.

New research from Purina Animal Nutrition shows that every 1 lb. a pig gains at weaning can be correlated to nearly 2 lb. at the end of the nursery period and nearly 4 lb. at finishing.

Feed consumption challenges ranked high in results from a recent industry survey, with 85% of pork producers listing early feed consumption as a challenge. The effects of this challenge reach far beyond the nursery, Purina said.
