New-crop sales off to a very slow start

WHETHER it is the strong dollar, low interest rates, plenty of grain worldwide or all three, export sales of new-crop corn are off to the slowest start in eight years.

New-crop soybeans are not faring much better, with year-to-date new-crop sales tied for the lowest in six years.
