Nevada cattle shootings continue

IN a remote area stretching between Winnemucca and Wells in northern Nevada, more than 60 head of cattle have been shot, leaving 10 dead and the rest seriously wounded or maimed, the Nevada Cattlemen's Assn. reported.

Since late summer, ranchers have reported livestock being maliciously shot in the Suzie Creek, Martin Basin and Wells area of Nevada, with the latest incident discovered Oct. 14.
