National Livestock acquires Superior auction

NATIONAL Livestock Credit, in partnership with cattle operations in several states, has acquired Superior Livestock Auction Inc., according to an announcement.

Superior was founded in 1987 and introduced satellite video marketing to the U.S. cattle industry. It grew to become the largest livestock auction in the U.S., marketing more than 1 million head of cattle per year. Superior has offices in Brush, Colo., and Ft. Worth, Texas, with auction facilities located in The Ft. Worth Stockyards National Historic District.

National Livestock is located in the Oklahoma National Stockyards in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Farm Credit West, a member of the Farm Credit System, was advised in its sale of Superior by AgriCapital Corp. in New York, N.Y.
