AJINOMOTO HEARTLAND INC., Chicago, Ill. — Jessica Tekippe has joined the ruminant business department as product manager. Tekippe will be responsible for developing AjiPro-L business.

BIORESOURCE INTERNATIONAL INC., Research Triangle Park, N.C. — Julian Young has joined the company as chief operating officer. Young will manage day-to-day operating activities related to corporate and production targets, operational efficiency and financial performance. He was previously with Nomaco Inc.

BOUMATIC, Madison, Wis. — Gunter Korthauer has been named director of technical services. Korthauer will be responsible for the technical services team in Europe and Asia. He will lead dealer technical support, ensure delivery of technical solutions to field issues, manage large dairy projects worldwide and lead installation efforts. He was most recently dairy solutions manager, Europe.

CHS INC., St. Paul, Minn. — Roger Baker has been promoted to vice president and general manager, CHS Europe. Baker will be responsible for daily business management, grain merchandising operations and overall profitability. He was most recently CHS Europe senior merchandiser.

Claudio Scarrozza has announced plans to retire as senior vice president and chief executive officer, CHS Europe. Scarrozza will remain with the company through December and will serve as a consultant through 2014.

ILLINOIS BEEF ASSN., Springfield, Ill. — Shelia Stannard has joined the association as director of industry programs. Stannard will lead membership programs, affiliate relations and beef checkoff compliance. She was previously with the American Angus Assn.

POET-DSM ADVANCED BIOFUELS LLC, Sioux Falls, S.D. — Kevin Potas has joined the company as business development manager. Potas will be responsible for outlining licensing options for the turnkey cellulosic ethanol process and technology package with grain-based ethanol producers. He was previously with Johnson & Johnson.

U.S. POULTRY & EGG ASSN., Tucker, Ga. — Gwen Venable has been promoted to vice president of communications. Venable will be responsible for the comprehensive communications program, including news releases, social media, the quarterly print newsletter and the daily electronic newsletter. She will also direct strategic marketing and promotion for industry services and events, including seminars and conferences, research and the annual International Production & Processing Expo. She was most recently director of communications.

VERENIUM CORP., San Diego, Cal. — Brian Carter has been named vice president of grain processing. Carter was most recently vice president, business development.

Dr. Kulinda Davis has been appointed director, business strategy and marketing. Davis will focus on the U.S. market, commercializing new enzyme products and expanding the company's international presence in grain processing.

WELLS FARGO & CO., Charlotte, N.C. — Neal Crapo has been named eastern region head of the National Food & Agribusiness Division. Crapo will be responsible for the division's expansion in the East. He was most recently senior vice president and regional manager of the Carlsbad/Desert regional commercial banking office.
