ANIMAL AGRICULTURE ALLIANCE, Arlington, Va. — Rossie Blinson has joined the organization as manager of membership and marketing. Blinson was most recently an intern at the alliance.

ARCHER DANIELS MIDLAND CO., Decatur, Ill. — Ian Pinner has been named president, global cocoa. Pinner will oversee the cocoa press operations. He was most recently vice president, corporate strategic and financial planning.

Scott Walker has been named vice president, oilseeds portfolio optimization. Walker will lead the sale of the chocolate business. He was most recently president, cocoa.

DPI GLOBAL, Porterville, Cal. — Bob Weatherly has joined the company as director of operations. Weatherly will oversee production and administration and will be responsible for direct sales for technologies within the West Coast market. He was previously with Livestock Nutrition Center LLC.

KEMIN, Des Moines, Iowa — Daniele Abrate has been promoted to senior commercial manager for Europe. Abrate will be responsible for developing strategic marketing and sales plans to support existing and new business as well as supervising regional sales managers. She was most recently regional sales manager for southeastern Europe.

Jerry May has been appointed managing director and senior vice president of the Europe and Asia Pacific regions for the petfood ingredient division. May will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to help support long-term growth. He will also manage regional commercial teams, monitor work flow and performance of staff and oversee the day-to-day operations. He was most recently senior vice president of regulatory and quality affairs.

PERDUE FOODS, Salisbury, Md. — Randy Day has been named executive vice president of supply chain. Day will be responsible for executing strategic growth plans and aligning every step in the supply chain, along with demand and supply planning, across all channels and brands. He was most recently senior vice president of sales and supply chain optimization.

Mark McKay has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing. McKay will be responsible for executing strategic growth plans and coordinating all sales channels to maximize profitability and drive efficiencies while supporting each of the brands in their markets. He was most recently senior vice president of business development for the turkey operation in Washington, Ind.

SOUTH DAKOTA STATE UNIVERSITY, Brookings, S.D. — Steve Pohl will retire May 21 from his position as professor of agricultural and biosystems engineering. Pohl has been with the university for 27 years. 

ZOETIS, Florham Park, N.J. — Ted Holthaus has joined the company as livestock production specialist. Holthaus will manage medicated feed additives with distributors, producers, nutritionists and feed manufacturers in the eastern Corn Belt. He was most recently with Central Life Sciences.
