AB VISTA, Marlborough, U.K. — Dr. Svetlana Peganova has been appointed technical manager in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Peganova will oversee technical activities in German-speaking countries of the region.

IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY, Ames, Iowa — Micah Smidt has been named superintendent of the Northern Research & Demonstration Farm in Kanawha, Iowa. Smidt will supervise research projects on the farm and will continue to coordinate on-farm research in north central Iowa. He was most recently agricultural research specialist.

OHIO SOYBEAN COUNCIL, Worthington, Ohio — Tom Fontana has been named director of research and education. Fontana will focus on managing and growing production and environmental research projects as well as education programs. He was most recently director of new use development.

Barry McGraw has joined the council as director of product development and commercialization. McGraw will lead the new use program, exploring opportunities for new soy technologies and the commercialization of new products into the marketplace. He was previously with Battelle.

VETS PLUS INC., Menomonie, Wis. — Melissa Overby has joined the company as national accounts manager within the companion animal sales team. Overby will be responsible for introducing sales opportunities to current and new partners within the companion animal market and maintaining relationships to grow the business. She was previously with Dairyland Delights.

WHEAT GROWERS, Aberdeen, S.D. — Tyler Kroupa has joined the cooperative as sales agronomist for the Kimball Agronomy Center.

Mike Senyak has joined the cooperative as manager at the Highmore, S.D., location.

ZINPRO CORP., Eden Prairie, Minn. — Grzegorz Jeleniewski has joined the company as country manager-Eastern Europe. Jeleniewski will be responsible for sales activities in Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Switzerland and Austria.

Carol Lin has joined the company as key account technical manager-China. Lin will be responsible for sales activities with selected key accounts in China.

Jan van der Meer has been promoted to key account manager for the European sales team. Van der Meer will be responsible for managing all sales activities in the Netherlands, including the multinational accounts headquartered there. He was most recently country manager-Eastern Europe.
