Company adding 52 new contract growers to area in northern Indiana.

Miller Poultry, based in Orland, Ind., broke ground July 5 on a project to expand its growout capacity and start a new breeder operation. The processing plant has added a second shift and is processing 650,000 birds weekly.

The company’s breeder project will add 52 new contract growers to the area in northern Indiana and add more jobs to the area, the company said in a press release. The project is tentatively scheduled for completion in early 2018.
