Meat groups critical of dietary proposals

Lack of scientific evidence and inclusion of environmental considerations in dietary guidelines are meat industry's top concerns.

THE public comment period for the 2015 dietary guidelines closed May 8, and meat groups made their concerns known regarding the advisory committee's mixed recommendations for meat as well as its consideration of sustainability.
