McDonald's sales slump in August

McDonald's profit forecast sliced after weak monthly sales.

SLUGGISH U.S. demand and supply issues in China contributed to McDonald's Corp. posting its weakest same-store sales figures since 2003.

McDonald's announced that global comparable sales decreased 3.7% in August, with sales for the Asian/Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA) region dropping 14.5%.
