QUITE recently, I wrote a column asking if McDonald's was going down for the count (Feedstuffs, June 15).
It was mostly a rhetorical piece written at the risk of painting McDonald's as the cauliflower-eared, canvas-backed pugilist of the fast-food business.
A recent Chicago Tribune story, though, suggested that the question was in dire need of an immediate answer.
