Markets on hold ahead of USDA crop report

CORN and soybean futures traded in a narrow range for much of last week, and wheat did as well until better-than-expected exports on Thursday gave it a lift.

Still, much of the week's focus was on the Aug. 12 U.S. Department of Agriculture report; many expect the agency to lower its corn and soybean production estimates because ample rain this spring and summer hurt the crops.
