LIVESTOCK MARKETS: Retail pork prices fall in February

Pork hits lowest price since June 2015 and is down nearly 20 cents from last year.

February retail pork prices were the lowest since June 2015, with the price of retail pork during February at $3.73/lb. University of Missouri agricultural economist Ron Plain said this was 5.5 cents lower than January and 20.3 cents lower than February 2015. The average grocery store price of ham and pork chops was higher in February than January, but bacon prices were lower, he added.
