LIVESTOCK MARKETS: Moderating world milk production expansion

Domestic demand for butter and moderating growth in world milk production supporting prices.

The Livestock Marketing Information Center (LMIC) reported that milk and dairy product prices have been on the upswing in the last two months. Class IV milk prices were up for the second consecutive month in June, rising to the highest monthly price of the year and only 1% lower than June 2015. Class III milk prices increased from the prior month in June for the first time since February.
