LIVESTOCK MARKETS: Cattle feeding returns improving

Most fed animals to be sold in April and May are projected to turn a profit.

Estimated cattle feeding returns for steers sold in January remained mired deep in red ink, although losses were dramatically less than during late 2015, according to the Livestock Marketing Information Center (LMIC).

LMIC said red ink easily declined by $200.00 per steer between closeouts in January and just one month earlier in December.
