Landus completes expansion of soy crush plant

Co-op increases soy crush capacity 50% with $27 million expansion of Ralston plant.

Landus Cooperative announced the completion of a $27 million expansion in Ralston, Iowa, for its expeller-processed soybean meal manufacturing.

The plant is expected to crush 20 million bu. of soybeans each year. When operating in conjunction with the original two manufacturing lines, the newest line will allow the company to double capacity and produce 575,000 tons of SoyPlus annually.
