Kansas State program centers on healthy pet food

Kansas State University to host pet food innovation workshop April 18 in Olathe, Kan.

While a large portion of U.S. pet food manufacturers base their operations in the Midwest, Kansas State University is responsible for much of the public research that is leading to healthier food for pets. The University of Illinois also has a pet food research program.

That's a big reason why Kansas State is leading efforts to host the Petfood Innovation Workshop at its Olathe, Kan., campus on April 18.
