Jose Batista Jr. appointed interim president of JBS

Move comes after two company executives were suspended in Brazilian fraud probe.

JBS S.A. announced Sept. 13 that the board of directors decided to appoint José Batista Jr. as interim president and chief executive officer of the company and also appointed José Batista Sobrinho, a board member and founder of JBS, as chairman of the board.

José Batista Jr. was president of the company for more than 20 years and is profoundly knowledgeable about all the activities of the company, JBS said in a statement.
